A team of Turkish historians and archaeologists examined last week Mughrabi excavation site, which has provoked protests by Muslims who blame Israel of plotting to harm Islamic holy places.
Israel permitted the Turkish visit to the site in an effort to calm fears that the work will damage the close to compound of Al-Aksa Mosque. The excavation is meant to cover the way for construction of a fresh pedestrian walkway up to the compound, returning one that partly collapsed in a snowstorm three years ago.

The vast majority of animals suffered by land clearing die, stated in a report that predicts 104 million mammals, birds and other reptiles are dead or probable to die as of legal land clearing among 1998 and 2005.
The WWF report was written by a ex- deputy director of the Australian Museum, Dr Hal Cogger; the director of the Institute of Wildlife Research at the University of Sydney, Professor Chris Dickman; and one of the country's most senior and appreciated bird scientists, Professor Hugh Ford.
