Land clearing about 10 acres of along with Pierson Creek to make a "parklike" setting on Farm Road 193 would not start until the landowner submits required plans, Greene County storm water engineer Kevin Barnes said.
The land-clearing work being done with heavy equipment was stopped July 18 as the county had not issued a land trouble permit, Barnes said. There is no proof of stream bank wearing away in the stretch of creek situated a half-mile south of Farm Road 148, he stated.
