The vast majority of animals suffered by land clearing die, stated in a report that predicts 104 million mammals, birds and other reptiles are dead or probable to die as of legal land clearing among 1998 and 2005.
The WWF report was written by a ex- deputy director of the Australian Museum, Dr Hal Cogger; the director of the Institute of Wildlife Research at the University of Sydney, Professor Chris Dickman; and one of the country's most senior and appreciated bird scientists, Professor Hugh Ford.
