CBS Excavation
Concrete is a construction
material, which is consists
of Portland cement, construction
aggregate (in common gravel and
sand) and water. Concrete is actually
more of a building material that
brings together better or common
aggregates and any sort of cement
binder. Gravel and sand, besides
water, are very essential ingredients
required for a good concrete
pad. Cement is used in the required
proportion for getting the necessary
strength for site preparation and
building projects.
Building concrete pad is used more
than any other man made material
today. It has been used to make
pavements, building structures,
foundations, motorways / roads,
overpasses, parking structures,
brick/block walls and footings for
gates, fences and poles.
Types of concrete
Depending on the types of professional
applications, there are various
types of concrete available for
different site preparation projects.
Regular building concrete pad
is prepared according to instructions
usually found on the packets of
cement and is used more for smaller
masonry projects. Other types of
concrete comprise cellular concrete,
roller-compacted concrete and asphalt
concrete.
We all have observed that high
traffic areas in the exterior of
a house might become bare and muddy
due to the constant use. It is really
not possible to grow grass at such
places. Just pour a concrete pad
to stop the mud and save yourself
from the trouble of trying to grow
grass in these barren areas and
make it more decorative than before.
Concrete
drainage pipes are as well useful.
Concrete mix
The right kind of concrete mix
and the right quantity should be
selected for the concrete pad as
Cbsexcavation does as follows:
• The usual concrete mix
that is a mixture of sand, gravel
and Portland cement.
• The high early strength
concrete mix that includes certain
additives, which shorten the setup
time necessary for concrete. This
form of concrete is highly recommended
for the building
concrete pad.
• The fiber-reinforced mixes
that includes the regular concrete
mix along with synthetic fibers,
which add strength to the concrete
pads.
